Coontree Loop Trail is a moderately easy, 3.7 mile hike in Pisgah National Forest that will take about 2 hours to complete with Fido. Fall on this trail offers a cornucopia of color as the leaves changes color, and early spring affords the opportunity to see ridge-top views through trees that have not yet bloomed. Please note that dogs must be leashed between April 1 and August 15, but must be under voice control at all times; Mountain Biking Oct. 15- Apr. 15, Hunting allowed.
