Fern Nature Trail is an easy, 1.2 mile hike in New River State Park that will take about 45 minutes to complete with Fido. This is a short little hike that takes you through wooded area and hugs close to the New River. If you are up for a longer adventure you can combine this trail with another in the Mount Jefferson State Park. Please note that dogs must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet.
