Head out from Deep Point Marina and travel to Bald Head Island on the pet-friendly Bald Head Island Ferry. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are free with a paying passenger. Dogs are not allowed inside the passenger cabin, but are permitted in the exterior areas of the ferry. For most of the year, ferries leave the mainland on the hour and the island on the half-hour, beginning at 7 a.m. The winter schedule may be abbreviated, and the summer schedule expanded.
