Fred Quinn Happy Tails Dog Park is three acre off-leash dog park located in Joe B. Barnes Regional Park in the heart of Midwest City, OK. The park features a nature-friendly design that is in keeping with the rest of the park. There are numerous large trees surrounding the area as well as covered entrances to provide plenty of shade. Features inside the park include a dry-bed creek with crossing bridges, large open areas of grass for running and playing, a water feature pond for swimming and cooling off, and chat transition from entrance to grassy areas.
This park has three separated areas for dogs to explore. There is an area for small, older and disabled dogs to enjoy with trees, grassy running ground and mounds. A second area is for large dogs. This area has large amounts of open land for running and playing catch, walking over mounds or relaxing in the shade. The third area features a concrete water pond.
Other features of the Fred Quinn Happy Tails Dog Park include two large covered entrances at both of the large and small dog areas, shaded seating for owners, secure one-way latches for entry and exit, fire hydrants, rinse stations in the pavilions and free waste-disposal bags. The park?s entry and facilities are ADA compliant. There is room for future events such as doggy birthday parties, doggy weddings or other events to be held. There are also ample amounts of parking in front of the facilities and easy access to Regional Park?s Nature Trail and Soldier Creek.
