Haystack Rock, on Cannon Beach, is a gorgeous designated bird and marine sanctuary rising 235 feet above the sand and sea. Leash up Fido and take a walk around the tide pools, where you will see a variety of marine life. Haystack Rock itself is home to cormorants, seagulls, and tufted puffins. Although dogs are permitted to be off leash on the beach, they must be leashed around Haystack Rock due to its status as a bird and marine sanctuary.
