Prince Gallitzin State Park is dog-friendly! Leashed dogs are allowed to hike alongside their human companions on the Campground Trail. The Trail is 2.2 miles and runs around the campground, following the shoreline and topography. There are five benches along the trail. Dog owners should ask for a trail map upon checking in to the State Park. The map explicitly outlines which areas of Prince Gallitzin are dog-friendly and which are not. The Park is open every day of the year, from sunrise to sunset. Day use areas close at dusk.
