As one of the largest batholiths in the US, Enchanted Rock State Natural Area is a popular spot for hiking, star gazing, picnicking, bird watching, rock climbing, and the thorough enjoyment of nature. Bring your pooch to join in on the fun as you explore this natural wonderland featuring diverse plant communities and animals such as armadillos, rabbits, rock and fox squirrels, lizards, turkey vultures, and white-tailed deer. During peak season, the park may temporarily close to new arrivals when the parking lot is filled to capacity. Peak season is September-May, so plan accordingly.
