Leashed dogs can soar above skiers, snowboarders, tall Evergreen trees, and mountain peaks, as they take a ride on the Mt. Rainier Gondola. Friendly dogs are welcome to ride the eight-passenger scenic Gondola during the summer hiking season, typically mid-June through mid-September; however, they are not allowed during the winter. Admission and hours vary seasonally. Visitors should check current conditions before planning their outing, as weather can change quickly and the gondola can close early or without notice due to wind or storms.
