Boulder River Trail

NF-2010, Darrington, WA, US, 98241

Boulder River is a 9 mile hike in Mt. Baker - Snoqualmie National Forest that will take about 6 hours to complete with Fido. Unlike other trails in the area, this one will soon leave the dense second-growth forest and enter into old-growth forest. This gem of a trail will take you by a gorgeous waterfall and river. The shade on this trail keeps it cool in the summer, and the low elevation makes the snow free trail an option in the spring and fall. Directions: Take exit 208 off of I-5 and drive 4 miles east on State Route 530 to Arlington, and then continue east on SR 530 for 20 more miles. At milepost 41, near a subdivision, turn right onto Forest Road 2010 (French Creek Road) and continue for 3.7 miles to the trailhead (elev. 950 ft).
