Barnaby Buttes Trail

Forest Service Rte 2014-500, Republic, WA, US, 99166

Barnaby Buttes Trail is a 5.5 mile hike in Colville National Forest that will take about 4 hours to complete with Fido. This easy hike will take you to a deserted summit by way of an old service road. The thick forest provides ample shade and there is a creek near the trailhead. Keep Fido close by, since there are plenty of signs of resident bears in the area. Directions: From Kettle Falls, Take US 395 to Hwy. 20. Travel west on 20 for 15 miles to South Sherman Rd (2020). Follow this south for 6.2 miles to its junction with Forest Service Rd 2014. Take 2014 for a half mile to Forest Service Rd 2014-500. This road has large water bars and. if you have a low clearance vehicle, it is recommended that you park here at the junction and walk. It is approximately 2 miles to the trailhead from this point.
