Girls Scouts in Rice Lake have helped dogs in the area have a new place to roam. The idea for an off leash dog park was started in 2007 and it's now up and running. It's located on land at the former Lemler Landfill just behind the KMart on main street. The girl scouts worked on the site creating trails, planting trees and building safety covers for methane gas pipes.
